Eleglide M1 Plus – Your All-Terrain Electric Ride

Meet the Eleglide M1 Plus, a robust electric mountain bike built to take on city streets, dirt trails, and everything in between. With its blend of power, endurance, and smart controls, this e-bike is engineered to deliver a thrilling, reliable ride whether you're commuting, exploring, or just heading out for fun.

Under the frame lies a 250 W brushless motor that delivers smooth, consistent power. Thanks to a peak instantaneous output of up to 500 W, this drive system handles steeper inclines with ease. The motor’s max torque of 45 N·m offers confident responsiveness even on uneven terrain.

The included 36 V / 12.5 Ah (450 Wh) removable battery is built with safety in mind complete with a battery protection system. In assisted mode, riders can expect up to 100 km of range under test conditions (75 kg load, steady 15 km/h, flat terrain, mild temperature). In manual (pedal-only) mode, there is no imposed limit, so you can pedal as far as your energy allows. Full charging takes approximately 7 hours, making overnight regeneration simple and hassle-free.

With a top speed limited to 25 km/h, the M1 Plus conforms to e-bike regulations in many regions (please verify local rules). Its drivetrain includes a 21-speed Shimano gear system (3 front, 7 rear) allowing you to fine-tune your pedaling efforts across varying slopes and surfaces.

The frame is constructed from lightweight yet durable aluminum alloy. You can choose between two wheel sizes:

  • 27.5" (M-size frame, 18")
  • 29" (L-size frame, 19")

This flexibility helps match the bike more precisely to your height and preferred ride style. Riders from approximately 165 cm to 195 cm (for 27.5") or up to 200 cm (for 29") can be accommodated comfortably.

A hydraulic damping front fork offers 100 mm of travel and features a lockout option—ideal when you want a firmer, more efficient ride on smooth surfaces. Combined with the frame’s geometry, the suspension ensures comfort without sacrificing agility.

Stopping power comes from dual mechanical disc brakes (160 mm rotors), complete with an auto cut-off feature that immediately disables the motor when you engage the brakes. This safety feature helps prevent unintended power when braking.

The M1 Plus rides on CST 2.1" pneumatic tires (either 27.5" or 29" as per your choice). Running at a recommended pressure of 45–65 PSI, these tires are designed to grip a variety of surfaces gravel, pavement, light off-road trails while maintaining a relatively smooth ride feel.

With its frame geometry, suspension, and tire setup, the bike strikes a balance: stable and planted on rougher terrain, yet responsive and nimble when maneuvering in tighter spaces.

An intelligent LCD display puts ride info at your fingertips speed, battery level, assist mode, and more. It also pairs with a companion app to unlock enhanced control and monitoring features, allowing you to track ride statistics, adjust settings, and diagnose minor issues from your smartphone.

The system is rated IPX4 for water resistance, which means it can handle splashes or light rain though it’s best to avoid heavy downpours or submersion.

The M1 Plus doesn’t skimp on safety or utility. Included components and features:

  • Bright LED headlight (1.65 W, ~20° beam angle)
  • Auto cut-off brake design
  • Reflectors (spoke and rear)
  • Two keys for battery lock
  • Pedals, tool kit, and user manual
  • Velcro-style ancillary parts for basic customization

It’s worth noting that some riders opt to upgrade saddle comfort, fenders, or mudguards, especially for urban use or rainy conditions.

If you're searching for an electric mountain bike that blends usability, versatility, and affordability, the M1 Plus is an excellent candidate. It’s a bike that works well as an everyday commuter, weekend explorer, or entry into off-road adventures—all without breaking the bank. With its removable battery, smart display, and sturdy design, it’s ready for both urban streets and gentle trails.

Eleglide M1 Plus upgraded. - Pretty good for the money.

I have the M1 plus upgraded version for 4 months now. I have used it regularly on reasonably hilly roads around Cork city, Ireland totalling 1300km.
The positives:
1) The motor can deal with all of the hills so far and some are pretty steep.
2) The battery has never run out on me so far. The longest cycle ride was 65km at assist level 3 and 4 and i had between 1 and 2 bars left on the battery when I got home.
3) The bike is perfect for my weight (76kg or 12 stone) and height (178cm or 5' 10") and is adjustable for someone who is 158cm to 182cm
4) Brakes work very well especially on steep down hills and require simple but regular adjustment.
5) Well-built and reliable. No mechanical faults so far.
The negatives:
1) I had to replace the tyres (and tubes) for tyres that were more puncture resistant than the supplied tyres. I had gotten four punctures in two weeks and had never gone off road. No punctures so far with the new ones after two and a half months.
2) Very uncomfortable saddle supplied which I changed for something more suitable for less than €17 delivered.
3) Battery and electrics are not suitable for heavy rain although a generic rain cover for the battery is worth getting from Aliexpress for €15 delivered.
Neither positive nor negative:
1) Buy spare brake pads before you need them and teach yourself how to change them and adjust them. (Not difficult)
2) Adding mudguards is worth the money and effort.
3) Adding a back carrier and carrier bag/panier to carry tools, spare brake pads, a puncture repair kit and a spare tube and pump will save you when the inevitable happens. I have needed them all in the 1300km travelled.

Overall, I'm 55 with bad lungs from years of heavy smoking (stopped just before I got the Ebike) and I can now go to places that I would have had difficulty walking to, and much further too. I am very pleased with the bike, the freedom and the distance the bike can travel on assist mode. I even enjoy cleaning and maintaining it.
